The World Educational Robotics (WER) UK Programme at Discovery STEM Education provides advanced robotics education and opportunities to access international online and on site collaborative events. Equipment is provided during on site classes and events. To support children who are learning from home, we are now able to provide packages including learning resources, a block of classes, arena map and registration to the July WER UK International Online Event registration. Each year we develop programmes related to the latest developments in technology and global problems. We are currently working on the Low Carbon Living programme of study. Children study 4 modules each year and receive a certificate upon completion of each module.
The curriculum development team at Discovery STEM Education develop WER teaching resources. 267 teachers from UK schools and STEM organisations attended WER Teacher Training at Discovery STEM Education between 2019 and 2020 to develop their own WER programmes. Sheffield High School has been given the accolade of World Educational Robotics UK Primary Hub (sponsored by HSBC) to provide teacher training and support to UK primary schools to incorporate world educational robotics into their school curriculum.
